With two thirds of the earth’s surface covered by water and the human body consisting of 75 percent of water, its evident that water is the prime element for life on earth.
Sadly, with the consistent availability of rainfall throughout the year in the East African region where Uganda is located, the population sometimes suffers from drought and elnino that destroys farmers’ crops and leads to hunger. This climatic change is attributed to merciless cutting of forests for human settlement, agriculture and wood fuel for domestic use.
As a result homes are now without water supply and the remaining alternative is shallow well and bore hole drilling.
Faith Women Ministry seeks to partner with other private agencies to enable homesteads to have water for domestic uses and for animals to quench their thirst and boost their productivity. in the near future, Faith Women Ministry plans to contemplate irrigation as a way to enhance all year crop production for the women who are mostly into agriculture compared to men.
